PS3 3.55 Custom Firmware TUT

Here is the latest firmware v1.2 this was said by kakarotos to be the final release. Its was updated so it now has all fixes.

"Updated to v1.2 with the latest fixes to game_tool2.xml"

I will find out all I can about this firmware and update ASAP !!

latest fixes to game_tool2.xml" some fixes on XMB game icons.

A problem occured while users TV MUSIC features with ps3 wernt appearing For example BBC IPLAYER Love Film Netfilx etc. All will now appear all xmb icons are fixed.

HOW TO INSTALL TO YOU PS3

Rename the downloaded file to PS3UPDAT.PUP.

Create a folder on the root(not already in any folders) of a usb and call it PS3.

Create a folder in the ps3 folder on the usb called UPDATE.

Then copy the PS3UPDAT.PUP into the update folder.

Then put the usb into your ps3, go to system update and update via storage media.

For example, I put the PS3UPDAT.PUP in the Folder "/PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP"

NEW STUFF THAT COMES WITH THE FIRMWARE
ADD BACK Game Data Utility
Add back save data utility
added new Install Packages
added back OTHER OS

Don't forget to go to Network Settings, Internet Connection and then Disable it before you update, you can enable it and go online once the update is finished.

FTP for this CFW should be available very soon, I will update ASAP.

Don't worry guys as soon as i get my hands on a signed FTP server I will release straight away.

Yes you can still play online with this Firmware installed.
Yes you can go back to the normal 3.55 FW from Sony.
